Are there any restrictions on decorating?

Yes, there are a few restrictions on decorating to help keep your home in good condition.

You may add personal touches such as artwork, photos, plants, rugs and freestanding decorative items. Wall hangings are generally fine when they use removable fixings, such as Command strips, provided they do not leave marks, holes or residue.

Please do not:

  • Paint walls or change the colour scheme
  • Replace carpets, flooring or tiles
  • Use nails, screws or fixings that leave holes
  • Use adhesive products that mark, stain or damage surfaces
  • Make permanent changes to fixtures, fittings or the fabric of the home

Any redecoration carried out without consent, or damage caused by decorating, may be assessed at the end of your tenancy and charged through the deposit process.

If you are planning anything beyond light, removable personalisation, ask the Front of House team first. They can confirm whether written consent is needed before you make any changes.
