How much notice do I need to give?

You need to give two months’ written notice to end your tenancy.

Your notice period must line up with your rent due date. If you submit notice on or before your rent due date, your two-month notice period starts from that rent due date. If you submit notice after your rent due date, your two-month notice period starts from the next rent due date.

For example, if your rent is due on the 15th of each month and you submit notice on 10 June, your notice period starts on 15 June and your tenancy ends on 15 August. If you submit notice on 16 June, your notice period starts on 15 July and your tenancy ends on 15 September.

The easiest way to give notice is by completing the End of Tenancy form in the Morro App. You can also speak to the Front of House team if you are unsure which date applies to your tenancy.

Before you submit notice

  • Check your tenancy agreement for your rent due date.
  • Make sure your planned move-out date lines up with the notice period.
  • Ask the team to confirm if anything is unclear.

Once your notice is received, the team will confirm the details and guide you through the next steps for moving out.
