What can delay my application?

A few things can delay an application, but most are easy to avoid with clear information and quick responses.

Common causes of delay include:

• Missing documents or documents that are unclear, incomplete or out of date
• Slow responses to requests from Homeppl or the Morro team
• Different information appearing in your application and supporting documents
• Referencing queries, such as income, employment or credit history needing further review
• Guarantor checks taking longer than expected, where a guarantor is needed
• High application volumes, which can occasionally make processing times a little longer

Referencing is handled by Homeppl, Morro’s third-party referencing provider. If they need anything else, they will contact you directly.

The best way to keep your application on track is to provide accurate details from the start, upload clear documents and reply promptly to any questions. Morro will keep you updated if anything needs attention.
