# What documents do I need to provide?
The exact documents you need to provide will depend on your circumstances, but most applicants are asked for a few standard items.
You will typically need:
- **Valid identification**, such as a passport or government-issued photo ID
- **Proof of your right to rent in the UK**, such as your passport and visa or immigration documentation, where applicable
- **Proof of income**, such as recent payslips, a bank statement or an employer letter
- **Previous landlord or employer details**, if these are requested as part of referencing
Referencing is carried out by **Homeppl**, Morro’s third-party referencing provider. They will guide you through the documents needed for your application and let you know if anything else is required.
To keep things moving smoothly, make sure the details you provide are accurate and that any documents are clear, complete and in date.
