What identification is required?

All applicants need to provide valid identification as part of the application and referencing process.

This will usually be a valid passport or another government-issued photo ID. The document must be in date, clear and match the details given in your application.

If you are not a UK or Irish national, you will also need to provide your visa or immigration documentation so a Right to Rent check can be completed. This confirms that you have the legal right to rent a home in the UK.

Referencing is carried out by Homeppl, Morro’s third-party referencing provider. They will confirm exactly what identification and supporting documents are needed for your circumstances and guide you through how to upload them.

Original documents may need to be made available for verification, so keep them close during the application process. If you are unsure which ID to use, contact the Morro team before applying.
