Can I be away from my home for an extended period?

Yes, you can be away from your home for an extended period during your tenancy. We simply ask that you let the Front of House team know in writing if your home will be unoccupied for more than 21 days.

This is part of your tenancy agreement and helps us keep the building safe, secure and properly looked after while you’re away. It can also be important for insurance and emergency access if something unexpected happens.

Before you go

  • Tell the Front of House team if you’ll be away for more than 21 days.
  • Make sure windows are closed and appliances are left safely.
  • Take rubbish out and remove anything that may spoil.
  • Check your handbook or tenancy agreement for any practical steps before leaving the home vacant.

If you’ll be away for a while, you can contact the team through the Morro App, in person at reception or via bymorro.com.

Please remember that being away from home does not allow subletting. Your home must not be let, licensed or handed over to someone else while you’re away.
