Do I need permission to change who lives in my home?

Yes. If you want to change who lives in your home, please speak to the Morro team before anything changes.

Everyone living in your home must be approved by Morro and named on the tenancy agreement where required. This applies if you’d like to add a new resident, remove an existing tenant or have someone move in with you on a long-term basis.

These changes need Morro’s prior written consent. They may also involve referencing, Right to Rent checks, updates to your tenancy agreement and changes to the way your deposit or rent responsibilities are recorded.

Subletting your home, or allowing someone to live there without approval, is not permitted. It can put your tenancy at risk and may cause problems with insurance, safety and legal requirements.

What to do next

  • Contact the Morro team through bymorro.com, the Morro App or Front of House.
  • Explain who you’d like to add or remove and when.
  • Wait for written approval before anyone moves in or out as part of the tenancy.

We’ll keep the process as simple as possible and let you know exactly what’s needed.
