How do I give notice to end my tenancy?
To end your tenancy, you’ll need to give two months’ written notice to the landlord. Your notice must line up with your rent due date, so it is worth checking your tenancy agreement before you submit it.
The easiest way to give notice is by completing the End of Tenancy form in the Morro App. You can also contact the Front of House team in writing if you need help finding the form or confirming the right date.
Your notice needs to be submitted on or before your rent due date for that month to count as the start of your two-month notice period. For example, if your rent is due on the 15th and you submit notice on 16 June, your notice period will start on 15 July and your tenancy will end on 15 September.
What happens next
- The team will confirm they have received your notice.
- You’ll be told anything you need to do before moving out.
- You may be invited to arrange a pre-checkout inspection.
- Morro may need to arrange viewings during your notice period, with notice given where possible.
If you are unsure about your rent due date or notice end date, speak to the team before submitting your notice.
