How should I dispose of waste and recycling?

Waste and recycling should be taken to the designated bin store or waste area for your building.

Please separate items into the correct bins wherever possible. At The Altham, the bin store includes areas for:

• Mixed recyclables, such as paper, cardboard, plastics and metals
• Organic waste, including food and biodegradable materials
• General waste, for non-recyclable everyday items
• Specialist disposal, such as batteries and small electrical items where provided

Please do not leave rubbish in corridors, lifts, shared spaces, outside your apartment door or beside bins. This keeps the building clean, avoids smells and helps keep escape routes clear for safety.

Break down cardboard boxes before placing them in the recycling area, and make sure bags are tied securely before being taken to the bin store.
