If a rent payment is 14 or more days overdue, interest may be charged at 3% above the Bank of England base rate. This is calculated from the original due date until the payment is received.

Persistent arrears can lead to formal action and may ultimately result in the landlord seeking possession through the courts. That is not where anyone wants things to land, so please do not ignore a missed payment.
