When does my notice period start?

Your notice period starts from your rent due date, not necessarily the day you submit your notice.

If you submit your notice on or before your rent due date, your two-month notice period starts from that rent due date. If you submit your notice after your rent due date, your notice period starts from the next rent due date.

For example, if your rent is due on the 20th and you submit notice on 18 June, your two months start on 20 June. If you submit notice on 21 June, your two months start on 20 July instead.

This timing matters because it affects your final tenancy end date and how long rent remains due. If you are planning a move, it is worth checking the dates carefully before submitting your notice.

Before giving notice

• Check your tenancy agreement for your rent due date.
• Work back from your preferred move-out date.
• Submit notice through the End of Tenancy form in the Morro App.
• Ask the Front of House team if you are unsure.
